Rishikesh to Govindghat
Early breakfast in Rishikesh, then scenic drive along the Ganges via Devprayag (confluence of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda), Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag and Nandaprayag to Govindghat. Check into guesthouse, pack for the trek, and rest for the next day.
Govindghat to Ghangaria
Trek from Govindghat — cross the Alaknanda on a suspension bridge and ascend through Pulna (3 km) and Bhuyandar (7 km) with waterfalls and lush forest. Arrive at Ghangaria, check into guesthouse, visit the local Gurudwara, and prepare for Valley of Flowers day.
Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers & Back
Early trek from Ghangaria into the Valley of Flowers National Park — 4 km ascent through meadows carpeted with seasonal blooms (brahma kamal, blue poppy, and dozens of species). Packed lunch in the valley, explore and photograph, then descend back to Ghangaria.
Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib & Back
Steep 6 km climb to Hemkund Sahib (14,200 ft) — sacred Sikh shrine beside a glacial lake surrounded by seven peaks. Visit the Gurudwara, lunch with mountain views, then descend to Ghangaria. The most demanding day of the trek.
Ghangaria to Govindghat via Pulna
Descend the same scenic route through Pulna village to Govindghat. Check into guesthouse, relax after the trek, and enjoy a well-earned dinner.
Govindghat to Rishikesh
